Since 2007, NAVO have begun to organize the challenge programs for the youth students groups. The group members are from 14 to 18 years old teenagers, and most of the programs are in Sichuan, some in other provinces. The following is the detailed list of the program.

A: Trekking Challenge

According to the actual instance of the students, we organized 3days’, 5days’,7days’ trekking challenge items respectively for the students in Sichuan Kham Tibetan area. The students hike through the forests, grasslands, the snow-capped mountain pass of 5000meters above the sea level etc. And they can experience how beautiful and magical the naturel world is.

B: Volunteer Program at Wolong Panda Nature Reserve

We organized the students to work as volunteers at Wolong Panda Natural Reserve (the biggest Panda reserve in the world). They can do something in their power for the pandas there, such as feeding the pandas, cleanning the enclosures, making records for the panda’s daily life etc. Moreover they can have a very close touch with the lovely pandas.

C: Life Experience in the Tibetan Villages

We organize the students a 3-7days’ stay in the Tibetan villages in Sichuan. During this period, they can learn the particular ethnic culture and custom of local and do something helpful to the life of the local tibetan people. They temper themselves through this activity and help the others at the same time.

D: Communication with the Tibetan School

We organize the interactional activities between the foreign students and the local tibetan students, then both sides may know different living custom, study methods,entertainment style, etc from each other. The foreign students stay with the local students for several days.

From 2008, we extend our students challenge programs(trekking, volunteer work, life experience in the ethnic villages,interactional activities with the local school students) to Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou province etc.

We would like to do our best to offer more challenge programs,espeically for the foreign students. With help of NAVO, we expect the foreign students have a close touch with the outdoors activity and the the natural world. Besides we expect to offer the students an opportunity to learn more about China, Chinese ethnic folk, their particular culture.
