The Bridge is located in Aizhai Town Jishou City and spans the Dehang Grand Canyon on the G65. It was opened to traffic on March 31, 2012 after it was built in 2007. The length span is 1,176m long, the bridge deck is 24.5m wide and the height from the bottom of the canyon is 355m. The bridge has the largest span over a canyon in the world. In 2013, NBC recommended the “Top 10 World Landmarks that must be visited”, and in 2017, the British “Daily Mail” praised the Aizhai Bridge as “the most beautiful bridge in the world”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cliff trestle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The cliffs at the Dehang Grand Canyon are home to the Cliff Plank Road, which is 1.6 km long, with a vertical drop of 300-400m. The Tourist Center of the Aizhai Bridge is located between the Chadong Bank of the Aizhai Bridge and the Aizhai Bridge. The cliff-top sightseeing platforms are based on the Miao cultural elements and are part of the Cliff Plank Road. Aizhai Highway Wonders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Aizhai Mountain Highway, built in 1936, is the most dangerous checkpoint. It is about 6 km long, built on the same slope with a horizontal distance of less than 100m, a vertical height difference of 490m, and a slope of 70-90 degrees. This kind of terrain causes the highway to turn 13 sharp turns, forming 26 sections. It is considered a wonder in the history of the world highway. In the history of China’s highway, the first overpass was born here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jidou Miao Village<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the top of a mountain ridge, there is a village called Jidou Miao, which looks like an eagle spreading its wings to fly. The village is located on the back of the eagle. Jidou means “a Miao village on the back of an eagle” and is a transliterated word derived from the Miao language. The village is home to more than 170 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dehang Grand Canyon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A beautiful grand canyon is referred to as Dehang, which is transliterated from the Miao language. The grand canyon is 15km long and 300-430m deep. It has a strong Miao charm and a strange geological landform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jiulongxi Canyon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The canyon is about 60 to 350m deep and is 2.4 km in length. It looks like a box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yuquanxi Canyon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Canyon is part of the Dehang Canyons and is located on the southeast side of Jidou Miao Village. The canyon is 2 km long, 150m wide at the bottom, and 100-260m deep. There are steep palisades, high peaks, and jagged rocks in the canyon, which is a hidden but beautiful spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
