Yongwu Road – The Ultimate Guide To The Road Under Water

Yongwu Road 01

There are many most beautiful roads in China. One of them is the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, which is a paradise on earth after arriving at the destination; there is an endless grassland highway. But have you ever seen a car driving on the water? Today, I will uncover the mystery of the most beautiful water road in China. In fact, it is the Yongwu road in Jiangxi Province. The two ends of the highway connect two different worlds. One end is Yongxiu County, known as the Little Jiuzhaigou. At the other end is Wucheng Town, the “kingdom of rare birds” with a history of over a thousand years, passing by the famous Poyang Lake Migratory Bird Reserve.

Water in Poyang Lake begins to rise up with the arrival of the rainy season, which is part of the Yongwu Road. Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China, and the lake is located in the Poyang Lake National Park in the province of Jiangxi, in the southeast of China. It is also the world’s largest lake in terms of volume. Every year, part of China’s Yongwu Highway, which spans the Poyang Lake, is named the “Most Beautiful Road Under the Water.” The most beautiful section of Yongwu Highway is 5.05 kilometers, which is part of the X219 county road.
